What is Hypnosis?Hypnosis is a deep
sleep-like state of relaxation, which assists you to focus inwardly. You can
overcome unwanted behaviours, difficulties, habits, and self-imposed
limitations by accessing the sub-conscious mind, as this part of the mind is
more receptive to appropriate suggestions and stimuli.
You will then move
forward in your life on a more positive path, having greater control over your
thoughts, feelings and behaviour. The benefits are long-lasting and often
Using hypnosis in a
clinical setting is what we call Hypnotherapy.
So what is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a powerful therapeutic tool that deals with the root causes of
a problem, rather than the symptoms. As a non-invasive, safe and natural method
of treating a wide variety of conditions, it is appropriate for use with
children and adults.
Hypnotherapy in its clinical setting is
a means of facilitating profound and meaningful change. Hypnotherapy is
nothing more than a deep state of relaxation during which the mind becomes very
focused. Hypnotherapy is a very powerful healing tool because it reassures
and counsels the sub-conscious mind. Many people who believe that they
would be unable to cope with giving up vices such as gambling, cigarettes, and
illicit drugs have been pleasantly surprised at the success of clinical
hypnotherapy. Clients find the necessary confidence to not only cope
with, but also embrace positive changes through using hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy is a short cut to healing as it deals directly with the
sub-conscious mind where true and profound change occurs very
quickly. Hypnotherapy is similar to meditation. Both require: the participant
to go into a very relaxed and safe state of consciousness, allowing the brain
to slow down and the mind to focus better, and in both the participant is in
Hypnotherapy can assist people in discovering
what their ‘core problem’ is, and help them solve it.
Within our minds we have many parts,
some people call them ‘hats’ or ‘masks’. They are different aspects of our
personality. Most are emotions, Love, Hate, Anger, Anxiety, Fear, etc.
These ‘parts’ of us determine how we feel and behave. When we have problems,
feel anxious, panic, depressed or fear, it is because these parts are not in
balance; maybe not even working together.
In Hypnotherapy we can access these
parts of our personality, find out why they are out of balance, return them to
a balanced state and teach them to stay that way.
At times it is necessary to go back into
a persons past to access the core problem. If this is necessary the therapist
can assist with the problem without having to know all the details. In fact, it
is only the feelings that the therapist needs to know about. Because isn’t that
the real problem – the feelings that come up?
By dealing with the subconscious mind
where our deepest problems live, true profound and lasting changes can occur
very quickly. Once the ‘core problem’ is found and solved,
self-confidence, self-love and self-acceptance can once again grow.
This leads to self-empowerment.
The following statements are some
commonly misguided beliefs about hypnotherapy:
· There is no such thing as
· Some people cannot be hypnotised.
· There is a weakness or mental
illness in those who can be hypnotised.
· The person under hypnosis can be
· Hypnotherapy is a form of sleep
during which the person is unconscious.
All of the above statements are false.
Truth About Hypnotherapy:
·Hypnotherapy certainly does exist and
everybody can be hypnotised.
· Determined and strong willed
people are often better candidates for hypnosis. Furthermore, being mentally
well or ill has no bearing on being hypnotized.
· The hypnotherapist does not
control the client. In fact, the client is the one in charge of the
hypnotic experience. The hypnotherapist is merely a facilitator who cannot
control the clients will.
· During hypnotherapy, the client
is generally conscious and the mind is very focused. At times, a client
may fall asleep but will continue to process suggestions for twenty minutes or
Can Hypnotherapy help
Compared to other
forms of therapy, hypnosis is the obvious choice for many issues.
Alfred A. Barrios,
PhD reviewed the overall lasting success of various psychological approaches.
This study revealed the following success rates:

rate after 6 sessions.*
therapy: 72% success rate after 22 sessions.*
Psychotherapy: 38% success
rate after 600 sessions.*

treatments to improve health and well being.

QUIT SMOKING FOR
LIFE – The Fast & Easy Way!
sitting in a most comfortable chair, you will become a non-smoker &
never crave another cigarette!
Have you ever tried
giving up smoking, forever, 100% percent sure you’d never smoke ever again.
one slip and that was it! Time after time after
time! I’m sure you have been there, thinking, well just one, it won’t hurt…..
Then you felt bad
thinking that all that time and effort went straight down the drain!
Addictions work on a
subconscious level which means that you have no control over
them, its simply not your fault that you want another cigarette.
Remember that time
when you are in the bar, your friends are having a cigarette then the little
voice in mind starts to make up reasons why you need that damm cigarette RIGHT
NOW! and I’m sure that you know ex- smokers who still crave, want and desire
cigarettes years after stopping smoking.
YOU CAN STOP THE
NAGGING CRAVING FOR LIFE!
Hypnosis kills the craving
for good, by focusing in your subconscious, so that the chains are broken and
the craving are gone forever, making you the happy, heathly non smoker rather
than a bitter ex -smoker.
My quit smoking
program is designed to consist of three separate sessions over a three
week period. The first session goes from 1.5 - 2 hrs and is designed to have
the client stop smoking, which is typically achieved after the first session.
The second and third sessions run or 1 hr and they are designed to reinforce
what was learn in the first session.
You may come across
many centers that offer “Quit smoking in 60 minutes”… These generally work
short term. They focus on the “now”, as in “you are now a non-smoker”, what
they may not address is how you may react in the near or distant future. Most
smokers associate smoking as a stress release, what happens when a stressful
situation (that you did not anticipate) arises in the near future? Perhaps
there is a job loss, or highly stressful family event – therefore the
second and third sessions are designed to help prevent and remove the tendency
of going back to smoking even during highly stressful periods such as these
mentioned – helping you to stay the smoke free course for the long term. [Three
sessions are recommended, as the brain learns by repeating things in patterns
of threes. This has been the proven most effective, long lasting approach to
NB: It is very
important that YOU WANT to quit smoking. Don’t make an appointment if you are
doing it just to please your family… You’ll
be waiting your time and money. Make and appointment because you want to quit!! Most research available, show that the most powerful
precondition for successfully quitting
